Most buddhist know about the famous monastery of Samye. Samye is the first built buddhist monastery in Tibet. This monastery was built by the great Indian master Padmasambhava and the learnt Pandita Shantarakshita, who were invited by the Tibetan King Trisong Deutsen; these three great beings were known as “Khen Lop Cho Sum”. Rinpoche has a very strong connection with this monastery.
There are four main, four stupas and eight side buildings around the main temple and they altogether are forming a mandala. All these buildings along with some others are built within a outer protection wall. The Retrat Center is also built within this outer wall.
The Retreat Center includes a praying hall, a room for Rinpoche or guest lamas, 25 rooms for the retreatants, toilets, kitchen, and storage rooms.
This retreat center has been built for RMB 700,000. A copper and gold statue of Padmasambhava (4 meter 20cm) has been erected. Rinpoche has spent a total of about RMB 1,400,000 for Samye Monastery. Now there are 17 monks doing a three year solitary retreat supported by 3 other monks and employees.
Rinpoche sponsors each practitioner US$45 per month, and there is a total of 20 monks.
Rinpoche is still looking for sponsors who would contribute to the living expenses of those monks during their retreat.
Near the great monastery Riwoche in Kham there is a retreat place called Naro Chödrug. This retreat place is known for the practice of the Six Yogas of Naropa. Rinpoche is helping to rebuild this place and is supporting 19 monks. Every month he is offering US$ 45 to each of the monks who live there.
This is Chokgyur Lingpa’s first monastery in Riwoche. His own Neten Monastery now needs renovation and a water pipeline, as it is very hard to get water from that place. As the reincarnation of the Chogyur Lingpa himself, Rinpoche thus takes it as his responsibility to support the monastery, the monks, nuns and all the renovations for future benefits. Now, there is a total of 60 monks that Rinpoche is sponsoring.

Ka Nying Rigdzin Ling West Lhasa Lha Zhablingtren:
In the capital of Tibet, there is the centre “Ka-Nying Rigdzin Ling”. There are a few monks and nuns living there. When Rinpoche comes to visit here, many students come to stay and receive teachings during his presence, and their living expenses are all sponsored by Rinpoche.
After only one year of planning the inauguration of the new school had been taken place in June 2006. The school ist situated about two hours away from Lhasa and only about 30 minutes from the Lhasa airport. The school is intendet for people who can not afford to send their children to school. Currently there are about 30 students who share three classrooms. The building includes also two more rooms for the teachers, a kitchen and courtyard.
This Monastery lies between Samye and Dorje Drak Monasteries in the Gongkhar Airport district. It belongs to the Chogyur Lingpas Monasteries. It is a nunnery. Every year the nuns are performing a drupchen according to the Tukdrup Barche Kunsel cicle. Altogether there are about ten people living there. Rinpoche is supporting them since this year.
The Dranang Gompa is situated in the Dranang district, central Tibet. It is about twenty minutes away from the next town and built above the valley.
Its history goes back to the omnicient Longchen Rabjam. The great saint took birth at this place. It is a marvelous place and a wonderful tree represent one of his hairs, the histrory tells.
Rinpoche supports this monastery since 1995. Currently, there are about five monks and five lay people living there. It was not in good shape, but over the years, many projects were accomplished, namely:
1. Wall paintings
2. Water supply
3. Other paintings and renovations
etc.
Still Rinpoche is looking forward to increase the number of monks. He is fully supporting the monks and lay people every month with money, food and clothes.
Further projects include:
- better water supply
- better accomodation for the monks
- monthly support of the monks and lay people
If wish you can participate in this by donating a monthly contribution or a singular amount.
