The Dranang Gompa is situated in the Dranang district, central Tibet. It is about twenty minutes away from the next town and built above the valley.
Its history goes back to the omnicient Longchen Rabjam. The great saint took birth at this place. It is a marvelous place and a wonderful tree represent one of his hairs, the histrory tells.
Rinpoche supports this monastery since 1995. Currently, there are about five monks and five lay people living there. It was not in good shape, but over the years, many projects were accomplished, namely:
1. Wall paintings
2. Water supply
3. Other paintings and renovations
etc.
Still Rinpoche is looking forward to increase the number of monks. He is fully supporting the monks and lay people every month with money, food and clothes.
Further projects include:
- better water supply
- better accomodation for the monks
- monthly support of the monks and lay people
If wish you can participate in this by donating a monthly contribution or a singular amount.
